Grateful that their church wasn’t destroyed in the devastating fire that started near Eaton’s Annex on Albert St. and swept through old heart of downtown Toronto yesterday; clergymen and congregation from Holy Trinity Church held outdoor thanksgiving service last night. The roof is damaged; windows boarded and floor blackened; but they don’t see it as a tragedy; said Bishop Lewis Garnsworthy.

Holy Trinity Church; which would sit in the middle of proposed Eaton Centre; wants low buildings to the south of a new public square so there will be lots of sunlight. Developers want tall buildings.
