Baptism of Jesus

This Sunday we celebrate the Baptism of Jesus. We read from Isaiah, a poem by Steve Garnaas-Holmes, and the Gospel According to Luke. Joanna Manning offers a homily on the Baptism of Jesus and its implications for the new year upon us. The metaphor of a “baptism of fire” explores themes of challenge, resilience, and spiritual renewal. Readers include Bill Aide, Joy Kogawa and Kimberley Yetman Dawson.
