This week is the Last Sunday Before Christmas and we await the coming of the Saviour. We read from Paul’s Letter to the Romans, a Poem by Marion Strobel and the Gospel According to Matthew. The homily is offered by Pam Trondson and reflects on shame in the stories of Mary and Joseph and the Apostle Paul, showing that imperfection is not a barrier to God’s work. In Jesus, we discover a love that covers shame and calls us into grace, truth, and community. Service Coordinated by Dick Moore with music from Allison Leyton-Brown.
