Canada Summer Jobs – Street Outreach Worker

This year Church of the Holy Trinity has been approved to hire a Street Outreach Worker as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. The current deadline to submit an application is Sunday May 4th.

This contract will be for 35 hours a week for 8 weeks.

Position Description

To work with the Trinity CommUNITY Hub team to develop and maintain relationships with community members, including those who are facing extreme marginalization and isolation from supports. 

The Street Outreach Worker will identify specific needs of community members and put together easy to access resources and provide referrals to connect people with services and supports such as legal, education, social, shelter/housing, food and clothing, cultural, etc.

The successful applicant will work to better connect community members with the resources we offer as part of our Hub programming and connect with partner organizations to better coordinate services for community members. 

The ideal candidate will bring their own lived experience into the Holy Trinity community and join in our collaborative effort to continue to improve service delivery both in practical ways and in ways that are even more community and justice centered.

The Street Outreach Worker will attend and contribute to staff meetings and trainings. They will also help support the program’s digital footprint and assist in making posts to social media.
