Street Haven Women’s Choir was founded in 2000 by Geoffrey Butler, the Artistic Director of the Toronto Choral Society. His vision was to provide women who use or have used the services of Street Haven at the Crossroads the opportunity to experience the joy and healing powers of singing together.
Street Haven is a multi-faceted organization located in downtown Toronto, serving women through emergency shelter beds, addiction services, a learning centre, and supportive housing.
In 2019, Street Haven Women’s Choir was renamed in honour of Peggy Ann Walpole who founded the organization in 1965.

The Toronto Homeless Memorial remembers those who have died as a result of homelessness in Toronto. It was begun by Bonnie Briggs (whom we sadly lost in 2017) and is currently maintained by Holy Trinity and other concerned citizens.
The memorial service is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 PM outside the south door of Holy Trinity.

- Canadian birth certificates (all provinces and territories)
- Verification of status or record of landing (for clients born outside of Canada)
- Agency assistance forms for OHIP
The ID Team doesn’t assist with:
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- Permanent residence card
- Citizenship Card
Clients who lack secure housing or rely on the emergency shelter system often resort to sleeping on the streets. It is extremely difficult to find a secure place to store identification… Street Health’s ID Safe provides secure storage for ID documents as well as an address for mail delivery.

People are welcome to tell us if their birthday is that month but we don’t track it, write it down or post it anywhere. Everyone is welcome to join us to sing and have a bit of cake.
